The Save Snatchfield Team have received (in draft) the first two position statements of independent opinion commissioned from Green Planning Studio. The opinion was prepared by Ruth Reed, a past President of the Royal Institute of British Architects and her team.

Ruth conducted an in depth site visit as part of her research and also consulted a leading Planning barrister and a range of technical subject matter experts, in order to fully validate her conclusions.

While the Save Snatchfield Team have had detailed discussions with Ruth and colleagues, we

publish Ruth's conclusions as genuinely independent advice. Ruth's advice is exactly as written, without any alterations or additional emphasis from us.

Green Planning Studio have an enviable reputation for success at Planning Appeals and at Planning Inspector examinations. They have stressed to us that they would only provide us with advice and argument that would be seen as credible (and likely to be successful) at a Planning Inspectorate Examination in Public.

There are two documents below -

i) Green Planning's view that NO exceptional circumstances exist for major development in our AONB.

ii) Green Planning's view that, even if exceptional circumstances did exist, there are other potential sites in Church Stretton that are less damaging to our AONB than Snatchfield.

In other words, Shropshire Council's plans for Snatchfield FAIL on both counts.

We ask you to consider both documents, as you prepare to submit your own objection to Snatchfield (Site CST021) prior to the deadline of 30 September 2020.

The Green Planning conclusions will be formally submitted to Shropshire Council, by Green Planning on our behalf, using the Council's pro forma. However, please remember that every voice counts and make sure you make your own objection to Shropshire Council.
